Mixtape Review

I recently mailed out a copy of my new mixtape to an editor from Ology. I was contacted back almost immediately with the news that a review would be written up. After a week or two, various emails and a lengthy phone call I've now established a connection with an editor from the site. I plan on heading out to New York soon to do a full interview, get some footage and take promos. The future continues to shine as I continue to push. Getting Physical

It feels surreal to actually get shit done. I remember months ago I was planning on releasing physical packaged mixtapes, opening a webstore, designing merch and getting shows. Now it's all happening piece by piece. I have plenty on the agenda with pressing all of these mixtapes, but besides that I'm saving up to get THESE designs printed. Until the time comes that I have some merch for sale, be sure to purchase a mixtape from the Webstore. Future Planning

With the release of the new mixtape I've been planning a little bit for the future. First on the agenda I am pressing 400 packaged copies of the mixtape that will be available through me and my webstore. Mid April I plan on having a mixtape release party that will last all night. The concept is simple, ten bills to get in, the ten dollars covers food, drinks, the show and you get a free packaged mixtape as well. Until then I'm just focused on staying productive and keeping it live at as many house shows as possible. I have an exclusive show coming up on the 26th, I plan on recording footage and I plan on it being wild. Be on the lookout and spread the word in your area. Support local artists and support independent Hip Hop.

Annotations of a Surgeon Physical Copies

As you may or may not know, I recently just released my second mixtape Annotations of a Surgeon. Now it's time for some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I am making 400 packaged copies of the new mixtape on cd, the bad news is I won't be releasing cassettes. As much as I would love to release cassettes they involve A LOT of manual labor. In the future I might have to press a small number for those who really want them.

I haven't been keeping shit updated lately, I'm tired like a fucker that doesn't stop boning moms. On the real, I'm tired. I have managed to accomplish some shit though, some promos were taken on the day of the video shoot and I've managed to shoot and piece together a video (UBER FUCKING RAD BROHIEM) But on a serious note, my mixtape drops at the end of the month and if you don't stay up to date and read my blogs, I'm gonna find your sister.

Annotations of a Surgeon The New Mixtape

I've been thinking a lot as of lately about how I want to go about releasing my second mixtape and as of right now I have a pretty concrete idea of what I want to do. My mixtape will be free via download of course, but I'd like to get some physical copies out to friends and fans. I don't know how many people are into cassettes, but I've always loved them. They hold a higher value to me than a CD ever will, so I've been thinking about releasing a limited press of cassettes. 100 Cassettes numbered and packaged with Annotations of a Surgeon On side A and my first Self-Titled mixtape re-recorded in the new studio on side B.

Time

Has been treating me well. I've been staying busy in the studio putting out
a new track a day. The response has been great and I don't plan on slowing down
any time soon. Words can't describe how much I truly appreciate the support
from friends and fans. Drop by the Facebook page and show some love, I could
always use the conversation.

I've been going out a lot as of lately too. The parties have been wild.

New Tracks Coming All This Week

Yes, you've heard correctly. I've already uploaded two new tracks
and plan on recording and putting more as the week goes along.
I can't wait to piece together this mixtape and put it up for download.
As far as sound goes, artistically this release is a lot more versatile and diverse.
The subjects and track content range greatly from track to track.
As of right now all of my new tracks that I'll be putting up are just to stream.
If everyone spreads the word and shows support for every 100 new fans on FB
I'll make a track free for download! Brand new tracks for the iPod, Car, Phone, whatever! Support real Hip-Hop and stay up to date on what's good!

Equipment is here!

Seven-hundred bills of equipment ordered and just about all of it came today.
My Rokit 6 Studio Monitors, Mic Stands, Cables, Mixer, Pop Filter,
Shockmount, etc. Pretty much everything except for my mic.
Not too worried about it though. I plan on buying a better quality mic
than the one I originally planned on purchasing.
With everything here and sorted I ordered a nice new computer
desk that should be here within the next two days or so.
I plan on ordering my mic this following weekend so I should have
a new track or two up on the page by the end of January.
As I finish recording tracks I plan on putting them up
on the page for everyone to hear and spread around.
Once everything is set, recorded, and organized I'll plan out a release date.

A New Year
